Bow making EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

Still making plans to make many more...

I made these bows yesterday with Halloween in mind...I will probably make new ones before then...such is my new obsession!

Okay, so my friend Lisa Cutler taught me how to make the CUTEST bows and it has taken over my life. Okay not really taken over because obviously I still have too much time if I can still blog. But, you understand what I am saying right? A new fun project...2 girls...new school clothes...and short hair that needs a little jazzing up. So, this is the results of my new skill. Thanks Lisa for sharing your wealth of knowledge!

Just a little info...

Aidan can crawl now. It started slowly happening on Monday, but the little wonder is just getting better and better. Keep scrolling and you will get a great little video clip of the SuperStar!
We have had some visitors in our home and they creep me out. Who is this you say? Two little mice that left evidence under our kitchen sink and so after a mild panic attack by me, Mike set two traps and caught the little fellas. Brinlee thought they were such cute little dead guys. I myself was hiding under a blanket to avoid any visual contact with the company. We have reset the traps and I hope we don't get anymore, but I can't hardly stand to be in my home anymore and with a baby on the floor it makes life that much more stressful. So, anyway, that is fun we are having.

Bag Tag!

So, Mic Bag Tagged me and since I don't have a purse--just a wallet that I carry around then I had to take a pic of my diaper bag. So, this is what was inside. A used wet wipe (never know when that can come in handy?!?) A plastic bib, a onesie, a hat, baby toys, a pacifier (our new best friend) fruit snacks, a diaper (of course) two spoons, a penny (for that big spending I do) children's tylenol, sunscreen, wet wipes (fresh ones) hand sanitizer, a packet of formula (because that is sure handy without a bottle present?!?) a jar of baby bananas. Anyway, get your purses ready because I tag: Lisa, Megan A., Maegan H., Katie, Lori, Kitty, Jennifer and Taci!! Let me know what you find...

This is becoming my day...

So, this little video clip is for those of you who don't really believe that my darling little boy has a mean/tempermental side. I figured it out in my head and since Monday (which is when this fun and games began) Aidan spends about 8 or 9 hours a day moving around the house like this. He is slowly getting to me by crawling and it is a long painful trip. He cries and screams the entire time!!! This is just a small taste of what I hear EVERY DAY!! (Luckily he takes a couple of naps to offset the crying...

Brinlee can spell red

So, we are doing kindergarten over--this time with Brinlee. Needless to say the material isn't anything new around here. Anyway, Brinlee came home on her first real day of kindergarten singing the RED song...Here is a little sample of it. By the way, she was waiting outside for the bus when we filmed this--We must be out there for about 40 minutes everyday to make her happy. She is so excited to get to school! She told me today that it would be okay if she didn't have lunch at home I could just send her to school and she could eat lunch there. Do you think she would like to head right on over to 1st grade?

A few pics of Aidan...

Here are just a few things we are doing with our little Aidan. He is so SPOILED! Today I have been trying to get my Monday cleaning done and the little angel just screams and cries and somehow is managing to follow me slowly around the house. When he starts crawling it will be lovely to have a crying baby following behind won't it? What have I done wrong as a mother to make him be so unhappy? Seriously. What?

Summer Soccer

This summer we have decided to play a little soccer. I was hoping it would keep Brinlee's interest longer than most things do, but alas, this is not meant to be. Every game she finds her coach's (Jennifer Madsen) cooler and helps herself to many otter pops. And that is how she spends the game. Cambree finds friends on the opposing teams and sits in the middle of the field visiting. Is this going to really be our sport??
I need to type in a special paragraph to here to thank a couple of friends. Thanks Jennifer for coaching soccer this year...You have done a GREAT job and the kids have had a lot of fun! (It's almost over.) Thanks Mic for teaching Cam and Brin dance. I know how much fun they have and how it is a challenge for you with those two at times...(It's about to begin again.) And, a big thanks to Lisa C. because she has taught me many new things these past two weeks...bow making and picture editing to name a few. Anyway THANKS! All of my friends are great and I love blogging with ya!

It's the best day ever...

Cambree 1st day going to 1st grade.

Brinlee--our little kindergartener--she is very excited!!

Cambree getting off the bus on her first day!

Cambree looking sad because she was sure Brin had been left at school...

Here is our rundown of the first day of school. It all started last night. Being the good mom that I am we came home from soccer and put the girls in the tub. They were ready for bed by 7:30 and in bed at 8:00. According to Mike, Cambree was still awake at 11:00 last night and fell asleep some time there after. She was SO excited for the big day. So, this morning she jumped out of bed and ate as quick as she could. I took her to school and dropped her off at her classroom. It was a strange feeling to leave her there for the whole day. Then at noon, Brinlee and I rode the kindergarten bus to school and had the 1 hour kindergarten orientation. Tomorrow she will go to afternoon kindergarten and Aidan and I will be left at home to do our own thing. I think we are going to meet Mike for lunch to celebrate the freedom our public school babysitter brings!
Anyway, as a final note, Cambree got off the bus this afternoon and she had a tear streaked face, because her terrible mom forgot to tell her that Brinlee wouldn't ride the bus home this afternoon. She thought that Brinlee had been left at the school and was going to be locked inside. It was pretty devastating so I have a lot to make up for. That is our 1st day of school report.

I have the greatest family ever...

On Saturday (8/16/08) we went over to Star Valley where my grandparents live for a little family gathering. It was really fun and I loved it. These are a few pictures of my grandparents with their great grandkids (Megan and Jaxon's little girl Courtney was missing) and also with my grandparents own kids (my aunt Rosalie is missing in those pics). There is a pic in there of my cousin Sam who is leaving on his mission in a little over a month to El Salvador/San Salvador and Beliz. And of course my brother Andy who is always trying to hog the attention.
It was a great day that was jam packed with excitement...Read on for more information. Thanks to Tammy and David for planning the day. It was good eats and good memories. Sorry to those that left before we took pics. It was bad timing.
I really do love my extended family and hope we can get together more often. It is always so much fun!!

The Best Slip 'n Slide EVER!!

You may wonder about this slip and slide and what it says...My uncle Dave was given an old billboard banner and so they use it as a slip n' slide. This one says "Busch Light" weekend. It has girls in bikinis on it and it was the BEST slip n' slide I have ever been on. Thank goodness my grandparents live on a big hill and we can put the beer banner on the front lawn for all of Star Valley to enjoy. It was a great time. **The outfits by the way were contributed by our grandma. They had made such "cute" outfits out of them before I got there so I just borrowed some stuff lying around. That is my brother Andy and my cousin Jaxon. We are a very special family what can I say?

Stinking it up in the Sulphurs

After the main meal and a good ride down the redneck slip n' slide, my brother (Andy) and three cousins (Sam, Jaxon, and Paige) convinced Cambree and I to come to the sulphur hot pots for a little dip. They are so smelly and gross. The water may be warm, but honestly what was I thinking???? Four showers later and I still smell like the tip of a match--no wonder people didn't want to get close to me at church.
Also, the water is about the consistency of 1% milk and there is slippery clay all over the bottom. Which makes getting around super fun. Andy retrieved an old hard hat that my Uncle Dave had found earlier in the day and he posed for a grand picture. It was good times, but seriously? What was I thinking?

Oh how the years go by...

Do we really look like this???

Did we really look like that???

Today is our 10th anniversary. As Mic would say it has been the best 10 years of Mike's life. Looking back the past 10 years is crazy...a whole decade. I don't feel much different, but obviously our physical features have changed...some...
Here are my top ten favorite things about Mike and our marriage:

#10: Me
#9: The way he laughs out loud while watching TV by himself.
#8: Always trying hard to make me happy.
#7: His love for a new adventure.
#6: The way he teases people...he thinks he is so funny. (He really is.)
#5: He can fix about anything that needs fixing.
#4: He works really hard to make life so good for his family.
#3: Aidan
#2: Brinlee
#1: Cambree

CHEESY I know. Sorry you had to read that. But, this is a big milestone in our marriage. I didn't think we would make it to 10 after he annoyed me so bad our first year of marriage, but we figured things out and now he only annoys me a little bit. JUST KIDDING! I sure do love ya MJ! Happy 10th anniversary--here's to 10 more +...

Guess what we saw?

That's right, we were able to take the girls to see THE East High where High School Musical is filmed. Cambree thought she had traveled straight to heaven I think. Anyway, I nearly forgot to post the pics, so they are a little out of order. We went there after the museum. Good times.

It all began a week ago...

A week ago my parents came and helped me pick a couple of gallons of raspberries. Then my mom and I bottled some and made about 5 batches of JAM! It was busy and fun. We also went to the Teton Flood Museum because Cam really wanted to take us there. So, we watched the movie and my mom got to relive what it was like when she was 19 and the dam broke. Then they left on Wednesday and I decided to hitch a ride with them. Mike came down on Thursday and our summer vacation began...Keep scrolling to get the whole story...........P.S. That last picture of Brinlee is because I told her to get dressed for the day and this is what she put on. That is just for you Emily because you laughed so hard at her!

Our trip to Utah and Lagoon!!!

Grandma Judy won tickets to Lagoon and graciously gave them to us! Mike was pretty excited and happy to be able to take the kids there. It was a great time and they had so much fun. My mom and Emily watched Aidan so it was nice to just wander around with Cam and Brin. Here are just a few highlights of that exciting day.

The Children's Museum

Thanks to Katie, we were able to go to the children's museum at the Gateway and it was a great time for the kids (and Mike). We wandered around behind all the kids (oh and Mike)and watched as they explored hands on all the incredible things in this world. They were able to do all kinds of things. They played in a little village where they farmed, shopped, climbed a rock wall, played in a house, etc. They were also able to play in a life flight helicopter and play as though they were news casters...That is a green screen that Cambree is in front of and she was able to talk about the weather and traffic. There was so much to see and do! THEY LOVED IT! Thanks again Katie we had a ton of fun!! Just a little note about the sippy...We found it in the gift shop and couldn't pass it up. It has Aidan's name on it and we were SO excited about it.
