I know that this blog feels like it is dedicated to Aidan the wonder child...really, it is almost pathetic how a mother brags about her children isn't it? Anyway, just for journaling purposes, Aidan started taking his first steps the week of Thanksgiving...the Monday before or so. (November 24) He now is really starting to prefer it. If he falls, which he does a LOT, he crawls to the nearest furniture or wall and pulls up and away he goes. He is actually becoming a little more even tempered (hee hee) and that is nice. He is however, upset in this video because he wants the camera. He turned 11 months yesterday. Crazy.

More of our Christmas season...
Well, the countdown is definitely on for Christmas. We got our two school programs out of the way. It was a great program and even though it was the same both nights, it was enjoyable.
Our little Brinlee decided that she wasn't going to sing. She just wanted to wear the little lamb's ears and look cute I guess. She did her little dance that she was assigned and that was good, but if Cambree hadn't been sitting by us (in the stands mind you) singing all of the songs we wouldn't have had a child performing on that first night.
So, we wised up the second night and I went to the program with Cambree and my cousin Jordan. Mike stayed home with Brin and Aidan and it was a much more enjoyable program for us all. Cambree sang and participated in all the songs and thought it was grand. This was the night she was SUPPOSED to sing. All in all it was a success!
They had a pretty nativity scene set up and during the program Mary and Joseph and their baby Jesus came and knelt at the manger. It was really neat. So, the girls needed a picture in front of this scene.
A little Aidan update. The day after I posted his head trama, he hit his head again on the same door frame and had another great bruise to add on the forehead. For some reason after that, he ended up with about 3 more bruises. They were travelling around I guess. Anyway, they look a lot better this week, but unfortunately for me, he still thinks that he wants to walk. He is getting better and better...
He also started making car noises when he pushes cars around on the floor and it is SO cute!!! (If I do say so myself.) I tried to video it, but he just wanted the camera and didn't want to perform. Go figure.

The funniest things.
Kids really do say the funniest things! Tonight I was getting the bathtub ready for the girls and I said "The first one in here, gets a special surprise." Brinlee came running in and was so excited to be the first. Cambree came in bawling. So, I asked Brin what she thought her special surprise was going to be and she looked at me and said "Probably a fart." I laughed and laughed because that was definitely NOT the surprise I was going to give her, so I asked her why she would think that. She said it was the kind of surprise her dad gives her. We will have to have a real heart to heart Mike and I!

This is the season beloved of the year...
The Christmas season is upon us and we are so excited!! The girls are going to participate in a Christmas program at school. However, the school has gotten so big that they have to divide it up and have it on two different nights. So, we will be enjoying the same program both nights with different children. Aren't we the luckiest??? Actually, we are pretty fortunate because it is a great way to start the holiday season.
Poor little Aidan thinks that Christmas is a punishment. He just wants to touch the lovely red glass ornaments, but every time he gets close to the tree he is told NO. He will be so thrilled to see this season over and done with.
Aidan has started taking steps and is the cutest thing around! However, he is still VERY unsteady and is crashing into things more and more. Not fun...This is from last night's accident. It was from one of our door frames...I am amazed at what babies can live through.
