The strangest thing...

Well, as some or all of you may know, we don't have the most easy going baby in the world. He just seems to always be frustrated and irritable about something. Today before church out of desperation, Mike got out his pacifier and put it in his mouth--the same pacifier that he hasn't taken for about 3 or 4 months-- and guess what? He LOVED it! He went to town sucking on that dang thing like it was his only life line. And, it wasn't just a little fluke...he LOVES it!! He has sucked on it ALL day now.
I have such mixed feelings because he is definitely more pleasant when his mouth is full of a binky, but is this something I really want to introduce to a 6 month old that will have to be broken of it? Who knows? Maybe tomorrow it will have to be something else to help soothe? Why is parenting so hard?

That is funny that he now takes a binkie. Tahlia never ever took a binkie, it was frustrating. Your kids are so cute.

That is FUNNNNNNYYYY!!!! I feel your pain about the binki thing, because look at my monster who still has one. Once they start it is hard to stop but it sure makes church and life more enjoyable when you can shut them up! :) It's like I have always heard... you never see a kid go to kindergarten with a diaper and a binki!?!

HA HA HA victory is mine! If you would have just followed my lead when the little fella was born than he would have be a little binky sucking angel for the last 6 months! This is the best news ever!

Isn't that so funny. You cram it in their mouth for about the first year of life and then you spend the next ear of life getting rid of it. We finally told Jocelyn at 2 years and 3 months that it was time for the plug to go to heaven. She still talks about it. I feel your pain.
